TRITELEIA
The California Bluebell is a popular cut flower when it is eroneously called brodiaea. They have large open heads of trumpet shaped flowers of the palest blue, purple blue, yellows and whites some with a dark central stripe. The corms are best planted in a dry sunny position and left alone to clump up. The leaves appear in the spring followed by the flowers in mid summer.I plant the blue forms next to lavender. All make long lasting cut flowers. Plant the corms in the autumn 4" deep and almost touching. Flowers June to July and flowers are 14" to 18" high.
