HYACINTHS- BEDDING ( Hyacinthus orientalis)

Strongly scented bulbs for the front of a sunny border or they are excellent in containers or pots where their scent will fill the garden. They can be mixed with tulips.They have white, pink, cream or purple flowers in a fat spike, 12" to 14" high. They are planted as dormant bulbs in the autumn, 4" deep and 4" apart. They are summer dormant. Flowers March or April.

BH2701 - HYACINTH 'BLUE JACKET'

Award of Garden Merit Probably the best of the bedding hyacinths with intense blue flowers in a large spike. Very scented. Sturdy and not too tall. It is excellent in pots. We mix it with Anemone blanda ’White Splendour’. The bulbs are then replanted in the border for the following year. Plant the bulbs in the autumn. Summer dormant.

A good late flowering hyacinth with pure white flowers in a compact spike. Weather resistentand good in pots or for the front of a sunny border to add scent to the garden. Plant the bulbs in the autumn. Summer dormant.

BH2704 - HYACINTH 'CITY OF HAARLEM'

Award of Garden Merit This fine bedding hyacinth is almost the last to flower. It has flowers of an intense clotted cream colour. A good foil for the blue varieties or yellow daffodils. Excellent in tubs with Muscari ’Blue Giant’ or mixed with Tulip Sunny Prince. Plant the bulbs in the autumn. Summer dormant. Scented.
